OpenMandriva uses Clang as main compiler

OpenMandriva is the first Linux distribution going to implementing Clang as the default compiler to build its thousands of open source software packages instead of native GNU Compiler Collection (GCC). Till date all the Linux distribution by default using GCC to build software. As per Phoronix benchmark review about GCC vs Clang performances there is no clear difference between both compilers but Clang offers some advantages such as Fast compiles and low memory use, Expressive diagnostics, Modular library based architecture & Uses the LLVM ‘BSD’ License. OpenMandriva updated on May 12, 2016 their blog nothing is wrong using Clang as main compiler.
